AK BARS Bank shareholders annual meeting

AK BARS Bank Shareholders Annual General Meeting took place on 25 May.

Within the framework of the agenda Bank’s shareholders approved the annual report, annual financial statements for 2011 and distribution of AK BARS Bank profit by the results of 2011 recommended by the Bank’s Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by the Prime-minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and the Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Tatarstan Evgenii Bogachjev.

The Chairman of the Management Board Robert Minnigaleev summed up key results of the Bank’s business in 2011.

Within the reporting period Bank’s assets increased by 24,7% and totalled 300, 2 billion rubles.

According to this indicator AK BARS Bank is ranked number 18 in the top 30 Russian banks.

The realization of the profit in the amount of 2 029,3 million rubles became the financial result of 2011. Summing up the results of the last year activity net profit amounted to 1 837,2 million rubles.

At the meeting the auditors of AK BARS Bank — LLC «Sredne-Volzhskoye Expert Bureau» and auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit were approved. The shareholders also approved amendments into the Statutes of the Bank and into the Regulation «About the Shareholders General Meeting». In addition, the shareholders determined the number of members of the Board of Directors, elected the members of the Board of Directors and of the Internal Audit Committee of AK BARS Bank, and approved the AK BARS Bank Counting Committee.

At the meeting the list of related-party companies, the limits for the deals with these companies and the related-party deals which can be implemented in the future Bank’s activity were also approved.
